Until the End of the World (German: Bis ans Ende der Welt) is a 1991 film by the German-born film director Wim Wenders, whose career had been distinguished by his mastery of the road movie, had intended this as the Ultimate Road Movie.

This is my favorite scene in the movie when death and happiness mix in the most Wendersed way during this fantastic unplugged version of Claire Tourneur (Solveig Dommartin) doing Kirsty MacColl's "Thank you for the days". I'd like to dedicate it to my loving wife who has been sharing her moments with me for six years already.

Just bought the full version in DVD, as for some reason this movie remained in my brain and heart. For the general mood, the songs, but also and the first car - navigator ever seen :-)

I've seen this movie years ago on VHS and thought it was good, even though at the time the film critic from the local newspaper listed it as the worst movie of the year for 1991.

Well, what can you do. film critics. mmm. sometimes they add value, sometimes they just speak for themselves, the other times they just don't know sh*t. guess its also a matter of opinion.

When my brother died we found a list of songs he wanted to be played at his funeral. Days by Elvis Costello was on it and we played it. It breaks my heart everytime I hear it...

I wish someone would put up the Elvis Costello version of this song! That version kills me everytime.

This deserves to be listed under one of best soundtracks ever... although I seem to miss Elvis Costello in this sequence.
