This is part 2 of a 14 part program I taped on Memorial Day of 1986. This was first shown in 1983. America Remembers John F. Kennedy about the life of President John F. Kennedy and has excellent interviews of his closest friends. Much of this programs content is about President Kennedy's administration, but has all of his political career covered. One interesting part in this video is to see a very young 28 year old Ted Kennedy talking to his older brother Jack at the Biltmore Hotel during the 1960 Democratic convention in Los Angeles. Jack and his brother Ted talk at 5:05-5:08 of this section. This part has the period from the primary season (spring of 1960) to the Democratic convention in Los Angeles in July of 1960. At the end of this section the program goes back to John Kennedy's start in politics in Boston during the mid-1940's.
