(Please say "hello" if you are from Japan!)

This is a side project band for the immensely talented "Yuu" Nakashima of (maybe) the world's best currently working rock trio GO!GO!7188, who have been performing and making records since the 90s.

I like to believe quite seriously that if she were from the west that she'd be as well-known world-wide as Sting or Sheryl Crow or whomever.

  • @wapico: yes, I think you are correct. It is "Kasugai" & not "Kasagai"... This is the most popular video on the channel (no, I do not get paid for any of these videos, I am just playing "video jockey" !) and yet no one has corrected me, until now - maybe because it is "blocked" in Japan. The band is back together - I guess that is why interest in the video is so high. Or the subject matter. I will leave the name of the band up and get rid of my incorrect title. Gee, I'm embarrassed.

  • +1 Nobody is better at that type of music than GoGo - maybe ever...

  • @Agent00Soul yeah. When I talk to someone in America about how new popular music, here, has lost all relevance and just basks in blandness or "emo" insincerity for specialty audiences, & nothing "unites" our culture but old stuff - then I try to steer them to Asia. They didn't have our type of a 60s or 70s to get so cynical about & can't afford it.

They still value being able to record sound, there! Their stuff is so full of genuine admiration of our "golden age" it makes one want to weep.
