Film School 2: What it takes to get in...

The number one question people have asked me as a result of my last vlog about film school is what it takes to get in. Now, I am not on the admissions committee and I have know scientific knowledge of what they look for, BUT, in my opinion, the number one thing film schools look for in potential students is... Seems like: "what makes you you" is a trick phrase. I think, if you're a good enough filmmaker you should be able to get the experience to make any form of film you want or think is preferable; to make a film that is original, but in any voice. Whether this voice be a stereoypical, but subtle and unique southern character, or princeton intellectual: whether they be in a science fiction action or romance situation, a good director can adjust their style and anew their experience to make the film.

different from what?? The thing is, thats the very thing all us applicants have in mind, so whenever I sit down to start n essay I can't help but think god as an admissions officer, all I would see in this essay is an attempt to set themselves apart. Even is I got an amazingly trusting person, I can't help but think that if everyone is trying to seem unique, theres got to be something we're all saying, am I being paranoid?

i still dont graduate for 2 years from high school but i really need to get into film school! I've been making movies since i was 8 years old! really, i have tons of my videos on my channel and thats just a little bit of them, i just got to get the grades which is hard

thats a great important rule i think if you want to stand out from the rest of the crowd...you got to show them your not there to be like everyone else your there to be different ! haha nice learnt that from J.Michael Straczynski :)
