This video demonstrates mixing of liquid inside PCR wells using a V&P Scientific Vortex Lateral Tumble Stirrer.

A demonstration of the Tumble Stirrer using Stir StiXs to rapidly mix tall solutions of different specific densities in glass vials. In this video we illustrate the ease and speed of a Vortex Stirrer "Tequila Sunrise" *(sucrose solutions of different color and density). This Stir StiX method also has application in solubility studies and resolubilizing chemical libraries prior to testing. Many compounds with poor solubility float on top the solution and so there is inadequate exposure to the solvent. The Stir StiX passes through the solvent/compound interface and assures the maximum degree of solubilization.
