Buy there is a saying in traditional art.

"it is very difficult to do good work with the best of tools"

I do try to get the best tools on the market as well as over 1000 books

in my library.

In the end it is the knowledge and practice that makes good drawing and painting.

I draw with a cheap sketchbook and ball point pen.

I also have very expensive art supplies.

But hey..... I am a career artist and have been collecting stuff my

entire life.

$600??? the f-... okay guys... i dont think its necessary to get an expensive ink pen to draw or a $100+ sketchbook.. all u need is a pencil n paper and practise drwing everyday.

@sheldonsartacademy So, I know this video is really old so I don't really expect a response, but why do you draw with pens instead of pencils? Just a personal preference? I can't imagine not being able to erase a mistake...

Sheldon, now you don't need a sketchbook, just need a IPAD. The ipad, sketchbook pro, artrage and a stylus will give you everything you need to explore and maximize your creativity.If you like the ipod you gonna love the ipad. Keep in mind. Thanks I really like this video ;)

What about the people who can just draw with no guidelines or form? Do you think they took these classes and techniques and just developed the ability to draw without them? I feel like they skipped all these steps you're telling us we need to take.

Your sketch book is like the best Idea I have ever seen. I am so going to save up for one. It has everything. If I am upset with a drawing then I can toss it with out riping apart my sketch book. I get so upset and hard on myself because of it. I am a marker lover so being able to put what paper I want inside of it is a freedom all on its own. I do draw everyday I started Drawing Tutorials online and I see my improvement in just 3 days. Your right draw everyday and live in your sketchbook!
