ON ENGINES AND WAITING - A short film by Nicholas Garcia

On Engines And Waiting was shot in Somerset in the winter of 2008 on the route of the heritage railway line between Bishops Lydeard and Minehead and in the particular spaces railway enthusiasts invited me into.

During the making of this film the trains, engines and tracks revealed themselves as mediums into the pasts of the men who stand on station platforms for full days in the depth of the english winter to watch one or two engines pass by. I am extremely grateful for these men's time, generosity and kindness.
