  • Good set up, nothing wrong with that mate, trial and error taste better than critics, you dont have to be a Maori to know how to cook a hangi, by the looks of the work you put into yours i bet it come out a beauty.   • Hangi are yuk dont ever have one if you do get the chance just tex me up and il take it off your hands free of charge thats how nice i am.

  • the polynesian equivalent for hangi is 'umu' ! ... and also i think that volcanic rock is the best stone to use, but thats just my opinion.

  • I like that hole bro,its decked out and even got a pergola ,thats flash,organised ,looks like a few hangis been put down there.In the old ,old days maori used to cook there

    slaves that were lazy or useless in hangis by slow cooking them where only there

    heads would be sticking out the ground ,they be ready to eat when this white shit

    come out there ears and eyes,hence the preserved heads they keep in those pakeha museums,shhhh don,t tell those pakehas

    and it is faster may be you should look out side of the box when i use the drum i dont do a lot of mucking around like you do

    i have been doing hangi since i was 12 years of age i have made hangs under the ground above the ground in drums

    i have used wood and diesel

    as long as it taste the bloody same when you pull it out

    so whos the idiot now
