a few tips. i'm not sure if this video helps anyone but whatever :D

1.Watch something else than Naruto. Anime for adults! (I'm not talking about hentai!)
2.Listen carefully when someone who's in a lower position talks to someone in a higher position.
3.Don't read the subtitles all the time. First try to understand without reading! LISTEN.

and i forgot to mention this in the video but

4.Watch the same episodes/series a several times, so that you can actually remember what they're saying. That's what I did pretty much.

  • i watch karin, ummm rosario + vampire, umm things like that and im sorry but you speak like this girl from my school and just like her i cant exactly understand what your saying because of your accent and the wooshing sound from the camara

  • ive seen them both and the reason you dont understand is because you dont understand japanese. japanese people can understand me without problems.

  • I brought the japanese ds game (but didn't finish it) and that helped. My sister was pising me off so I said:

    Are you stupid?

    You are very very stupid.

    I will kill you!

    GO!

    What?

Anime has only tought me words like "Arigatou Gozenmasu" and "Yasashii" and (I( know this is bad to say) "Kimi". My disrtict has two high schools and one has japanese classes. I don't think I would get to that one, but I'm such a pain in the ass I sure that would change^^

    TEACHER

    CHEATER

  • why is "kimi" bad to say? it means "you" and is used when people in a higher position talk to people in a lower position, or when you talk to kids or a lover etc. its actually a friendly word depending on when you use it. in the cases where the guys use omae, i use kimi.

if u concentrate, u can learn by watching anime. if u dont, then you cant. i got to a high school which had jp classes and ended up not going there but just doing the tests, cos there was no point since i knew it all. anime<3

  • low creatures? what the heck? and who are really the same level as you? how would I know? ppl who is born in Japan is better than you...ppl who dosent know japanese are obviously not better than you...then ppl who learn japanese the in the same way as you...and has done it the same time as you are as good as you...who would that be? dont ask me...lmao...

  • it was a JOKE ;) if you read between the lines, i first say that men are idiots and after that "but so am i". everyone is.

i don't disrespect anyone, but i neither respect anyone. i dont think i have said anything about that in my videos, so i have no idea where did u get that to your head...

better? worse? everyone sees things in their own way so those words have no meaning to me.

  • How do you know there are no ninjas in japan? They are called ninjas for a reason O_o

  • @LifeFirst good luck with that pshh

  • u must have been a japanese in your previous life..!!!

  • Monster is an excellent anime. I'm impressed by that man's work. A very intelligent anime. モンスターは素敵なアニメです。あの男の人の作文はいいですね。

  • @Kra7as "and if you call that Kanji shit language, then I'm fucking STRAIGHT !" - You just said you were gay. How does that prove a point at all?

  • Don't watch Anime with subs....you will not learn a thing.

    Watch it without subs.

  • Yeah i just watched the subs say "ASSHOLE" and all the guy said was "baka.." under his breath lol

  • Haha that was funny I would be pretty freaked out to see naruto come up to me and say rasengan! First anime I ever watche was dragonball z then it was yu-gi-oh I want to learn Japanese but I don't know were to start

  • I don't think it really matters which anime you watch just as long as it's dubbed in Japanese with subs in English or w/e language you prefer.. it's (as you partially said) more important that you do your best to be aware of what you're hearing, how it MAY translate, and how this would or would not be be naturally applied to speaking Japanese with a normal person in Japan. Even if you're watching Naruto, you can still pick up thousands of words/particles/sentences that sounds natural in Japan..

  • What about toradora?

    But they do use"You" Alot.
