19/12/2011: video shows the neverending line of prostitutes on the beach pathways. Seems like every girl at bar & massage & vendors queues here at night available for as less as 200 Bhat. They dont trouble you and there is police patrol on bikes every 20 mts. The lady boys do try to act a bit smart though. The area is well lit and tourists can be seen enjoying their beer sitting admist with absolutely no issues.

Yes, It is very safe. None of the ladies will EVER hassle you and the lady boys will only look @ you and if you look away they leave you alone.
