Very cool, thanks for sharing!

Yeah Jeff is totally going for a more 'outside', less conventional sound. Pretty cool.

I love

huh?Berlin was as Berlin could be.....if anyone would care to listen again, he deliberately tried to play as differently from Alain.......and that's the beauty of it......

@gatodecamapa Strange, I thought Jeff was a better player than this. To me his phrasing sounded a bit stiff on the solo. Still both are great players whom I love. Alain swung his ass off.

if you could understand what i wrote, you'd know about my grasp... jazz may be a new thing to you... do you think that no one else knows...?

@CrackerJackLee And to comment on your saying this is "aimless noodling". Well, its no big stage performance, this is NAMM. You go there and wank all day. However there are so many tasty and musical phrases played by these guys it's amazing. I'm guessing you just don't have a grasp on jazz so this video doesn't make any sense to you.

@CrackerJackLee Someone is off his meds...
if you look at the drummer and listen to the whole song my opinion is that that guy has some tricks up his sleeve if you can do that with only a cymbal i would tip my hat in your direction anytime but if you dont agree its fine by me :)

I love how Gottlieb just plays that one flat ride. He gets so many great sounds out of it. Most players would choose a cymbal with a bell, but Gottlieb does fantastically with just a flat ride.
