Wild Chronicles heads to Syria's Al Badia Desert, where a National Geographic researcher has made a startling discovery: the northern bald ibis, feared extinct in Syria for more than 70 years, has returned. But the small, fragile population in danger. Now, a dedicated team of scientists, Bedouins and former hunters are racing against time to help the "Arab phoenix" regain its place in the Syrian desert.

  • Oh wow, these are some of the coolest-looking birds I've ever seen! It's really sad that so few still exist in the wild, though...I"m hoping they can still make it :)
