My dad (love and miss him too) wrote this commercial and several others in the series during his time at Chiat/Day.
This was the first one produced. Oddly enough, the chicken was not part of the original shooting script; this spot was filmed on location and the chicken just happened to be there. The rest, as they say, is history.
It's a shame that so many of the Aames spots here are from badly faded color reels. They really used to look a lot better than this.

@tiffstoe this brings back memories. what is this actor's name? Was he also in Blazing Saddles (which I'm watching right now)?

@crysjumar1 his name is Patrick Campbell and yes, he was in Blazing Saddles. He had two parts-one was the "soapy man" scene, and he also introduced "Lili Von Shtupp" on the stage. Thank you for your interest...enjoy the movie
