People always walk faster in New York :)

I don't mean to 'one up' you, but it's been 50 years for me. Left NYC in Sept. '60 and was only back once, for 3 days, in spring, 1961. I remember the station well, since it was my starting point for every trip downtown.

Lol the subway is the only part of the city that hasn't been gentrified hahaha its still a dirty peice of shit but hey its open 24/7 and has good coverage in the city.

New York really should update its train commute system
-
they'll walk even faster in 2012 because everybody knows that the subway is gonna go up right into the road.
(it didnt happen in the movie, but im just sayin, it MIGHT happen.)

I love NYC! And even though the Subway is a piece of shit compared to the one here in DC.. I like its complexity, coverage and the fact that it runs 24/7 and has express lines.

Little known fact a lot of the older trains were made in italy.
It's 50 years since I was in this station (been a resident of Florida since then) but watching the video is definitely 'deja vu'. All that's missing is the smell of ozone in the air and that is easy enough to imagine. Particularly interesting is how the E Train seemed to be waiting for passengers who transferred from the New York-bound F Train, as they confidently moved between the 2 trains. I wasn't aware that conductors deliberately accommodate transferring riders. Is that routine practice?
