@onjoFilms Actually, it's a little more in depth than that... what happens is you film "live action" footage, process it and stylize over it. In this video they took an old black and white video and coloured it in, that's technically considered rotoscopy although pretty basic. Have you watched "A Scanner Darkly"?

This is not a rotoscope right? It rather seems like you've rotoscoped just the eyes and lips. The rest is plain photographic.
An eerie and beautiful tribute to a beautiful actress. It should be mentioned that this shot come from Godard's Vivre Sa Vie, his fourth film, in which Karina poignantly plays a doomed prostitute.
