It is sad that the same artist has a song named "Working Class Woman" which is viewed by only 338 people and receives no more than 1 comment whereas here for example the son is analysed or I should say anatomized by many, who knows maybe working class women don't get a chance to listen to youtube sonds or do they?
The song Jesus won't you come by me is one of my most cherished songs to my heart. As I'd be walking all alone, sick from drinking, and hating myself for my weakness with alcohol. This song gave me hope, and I played it even as I drank, praying for strength to over come my addiction. I'm now 2 & 1/2 years sober. I truly believe this song helped my spirit to become willing to be a better man. Thank you!
Barbara Dane,I have been a fan since I was 5 years old and 53 years later I am even more a fan. I hope you are still singing. You are an inspiration to me
Why this cover? The album is called "Trouble in Mind and looks very different! But I'm so happy that people still want to hear this after more than 50 years.. with the great PT Stanton solos, Don Ewell, Pops Foster and Darnell Howard (all gone now) --love, Barbara
This sure back a lot of memories for me. I bought her LP back in the late fifties and I still have it today. I haven't been able to play it though, cause I dont have a turntable. Thanks to, You Tube, I can still this great lady's voice once again. I've listened to all her stuff on here and would like to encourage more. Please!
