e swan as we call Mr/Mrs Tamasaburo in japan is pure magic. he is an actual national and world treasure. it is hard to beleive anyone could ever dance better. he is not a man not a woman he is the perfect incaration of any character he impersonates. and like the swan no matter how fast his feet are moving underwater all we can see is him sliding silently and so it seems effortlessly on the water.

@Sefardi123 it would be if you are not familiar with kabuki... hahaha he doesn't have any obvious humps
-
@Ktsitsa you can buy from amazon.co.jp or yesasia.com

@tiffenakou where can you buy the dvd's? I looked online but could not find it

@blueagle2007 Some people just love to criticize, the ability to show simple gratitude eludes them....

No. This is Kabuki. Something else entirely. An art form that utilizes music, meaningful gestures, poetry, allusion, costume symbolism, etc. It's more complex than it looks and worth some investigation if you care to learn. It is hard for a foreigner to wrap their head around perhaps, but not impossible, you only need to be open minded enough to see it is merely a different form of artistic expression and quite beautiful. You never know, with a little learning you might like it.

@SammySamungSan, its, rather, an expression of grace & perfection. The word "dance" can mean many things. It is foolish to see dance through a thin tunnel, as just the jumping and swinging that the western world calls dance. "dance" is in general, an expression through moments of the body.

I have seen him live. He was incredible.

I'm so confused :/
This is dancing? ㅋㅋㅋ
Sorry, is this a part of documentary or a series of documentaries? I'm finding a bunch of clips on Kabuki with this same narrator, but does anyone know the name of the whole thing together?? Please, I'm trying to locate it.
