This is a rap we did as an english project for Sophomore Honors English. This rap is about "the Grapes of Wrath" and is MUCH better then the actual book. The song and video will be available for purchase soon =] (if you live near me however you can purchase it immediately)

The Grapes of Wrath, it is a book
But if you give it a closer look
You will see it has a deeper meaning
It is truly about believing

His name is Jim
He once sang hymn
He was a preacher
Of religion he was a teacher
To his God he used to pray
But from religion he did stray
Now his faith he has lost
But losing faith, what is the cost?
He met a man named Tom Joad
Together they travel on the road
To California they must go
Where the juicy oranges grow
Though his faith he does lack
His beliefs are slowly coming back
During this time, the economy was in a rut
It was almost as bad as Steve's old haircut
It was so bad, it was hard to understand
Why god would do this with his hand
In the air the dust did fly
If you weren't careful it'd get in your eye

As a child he was a bit of a loner

We have a bunch a rich white kids driving their parents car, burning a book they never read, acting gangsta. They truly honestly believe its COOL to act stupid like this. They rhyme kindergarten words to a mundane repetitive beat & think its cute.
