Should we discipline the young horse and if so, when?

Well Its been 6 months since we first met & she is coming along very nicely now. Considering she wouldn't even take a bit in her mouth when I first got her, I think she is doing very well and is always trying her very best to please me. Thanks for the advice all:)

Thank you for this video. this is what my ride looks like every day! my mares are 5 & 7 years old and the only difference in mine to yours is mine WILL NOT GO ON THE BIT....fights it all way. they are so bad behaved.
leilaminette 3 years ago
They are rarely, if ever, badly behaved lellaminette. We are always the reason and the more trained we become, the less bad our horses become :)

@leilaminette Not going on the bit is not badly behaved! You need to work on your schooling! If your 5 & 7 yr old behave like the video then you're definately doing something wrong. Sorry, but youngsters and horses in general aren't badly behaved Leilaminette. Bad behaviour IMO in most cases comes purely from bad riding or a sore horse!

@Storm288 You are spot on Madam however in this case, it was one of the rare one's where some measure of assertiveness was required as she was indeed being a Brat. Spoilt lot's and nothing wrong with her whatsoever. She went on after this Day to a very successful Career with heer Owners and wins ribbons at the shows. Filmed here, she was just Green, having just been broken in but due to her over confidence, decided to say no. Regards
