If you're ever in a bind and have to rush to put a presentation together the morning it's due, here's a trick that will help you remember all the content and deliver it smoothly.

Effective PowerPoint Presentation Tip #1: "The Three T's"

The Three T's are:
1. Touch
2. Turn
3. Talk

TOUCH the computer and/or the clicker to advance the slide. Do this silently. Then TURN and look at the screen and silently read one bullet point to yourself. Turn back to the main audience, lock your eyes onto somebody and TALK.

When you learn this technique you will be much calmer and more decisive. The audience will see you as confident.

  • Yeah I'm presenting tomorrow in front of my whole class so I'm kinda nervous D:

  • Great tip on smooothing out and pacing delivery - thank you, really helpful.

Now all I gotta do is work out how to operate powerpoint for an upcoming presentation (confounding!) but this basic tip on how it should be delivered helps in preparing that part too. Cheers.
