Another video of the many Cyclone sirens around Amarillo. This video was taken on May 27th, 2011. It's hard to see in the video but this Cyclone is painted grey. It is located behind the Wal-Mart Supercenter at 45th St. and Coulter Dr.

  • @kdksiren WOW! It is a good siren! It sais on the american signal page that it can cover 4-5 miles over average terrain! Now i wish i had one:)

  • @CL137626 They are good. But if you had one, you better check on power supply. These bad boys are 480V and pull a large amount of amps, especially at startup, due the 50 HP motor on top. Will make the lights dim in the neighbor hood! Thanks..

  • @kdksiren its funny because down south there are alot of these types of sirens. Up north in pennslyvannia we dont have any of these. Speaking of which i posted my video of the 3t22! I found out that the siren is a 3t22. Looked for the solinoids. Next time i will try to get closer to the siren.

  • @CL137626 MisterTwister55 has a video or two of cyclones around Three Mile Island. They are not too popular but around here they are plentiful. There are 7 here in Amarillo, 1 in Canyon just south of here and 6 in Hereford, SW of here. Good Sirens!

  • is that a gray cyclone?

  • @goldcat202 Yes, the only one that color we have seen. Must have been repainted by the city.

  • @kdksiren its worth it though!!! :D

  • @Thewoog34 Ok. Sorry if i upset you, it's just that i can't hear you, like i said. It does seem like a good siren, though.

  • @CL137626 I'm not, I promise. I was actually trying to re-assure you that there ARE still very good and scary sirens being made. The Sentry 40v2t is the best of the best nowadays.

  • @Thewoog34 No. it's just the way it came out. Since i can't actually HEAR you talking to me, i didn't know if you were being mean or stuck up or what.

  • @CL137626 When the hell was I snappy? Do you have aspergers or something? If that's the case I'm terribly sorry.

  • @CL137626 I don't think you understand how decibles relate to sound. Every step in 3 decibles is twice the sound pressure. Therefore, the 40v2t is twice as loud as the Cyclone (maybe even slightly more than that) at 100 feet.

  • @Thewoog34 And twice as loud? So it's louder than the P-50? Nope.

  • @Thewoog34 Oh, well excuse me. This siren is still made, too. You didn't have to be so snappy.

  • @kdksiren dont give me ideas lol

  • @CL137626 This siren isn't made anymore. The Sentry 40v2t is twice as loud and uses much less power and has the same 2/3 port ratio as the Cyclone and it's still made.
