@frdrcksncn oh please.. the only time I "disgraced" it is when I did the obnoxious vibrato.. that's why I fixed myself later on so people wouldn't think I was a noob. I'm really the pickiest, most precise oboist you'll ever meet.. but I like to be funny too. This was made when I had way too much free time.

I think you would enjoy the posting called "Speed reeding" which shows reed making by Lori Lydeen in like, 4x time, but also the sound track is of her playing the Hindemith Sonata's first movement and she is really excellent, Regards.

Thanks again for your 2nd reply. I work with proaudio gear and forget that laptops are being used a lot for recording. What pieces are you working on?

Thank you for your reply to my comments. I'm glad to hear that the "crossed eyes" is not a permanent condition. I remember trying to duplicate my teacher, Ray Still's vibrato using the throat and it just didn't feel right. He said to us that he doesn't "teach vibrato", but that he just sets up the proper conditions for it. I followed his advice and after getting my breathing down right, the vibrato came naturally. Was I right about the low register problem or was it possibly a recording defect?

@oboistreceng1 I'm pretty sure it was recording defect - after all, this was made with a crappy laptop webcam
