Poor girl, I really don't think she knew. Imagine happily anticipating a child for months, planning out everything, buying bottles and clothes and toys and a crib, only to find out that you're having a miscarriage...that you caused. Even accidentally, innocently, the feelings of guilt, horror, and shock would be overwhelming. God bless these people.
