this non-film song was written and composed by Shiv Kumar Saroj who one of the announcers at Radio Ceylon in late 1950's and early 1960's. Beautiful song. I remember listening to the radio program where Mr, Saroj first played this and told about us about it.

Where will we find another Mukesh with so much depth and resonance, pathos or dard. Those men who created such beauty were immortals

Beautiful song from Mukesh Ji. It is indeed composed by Kaif Irfani. I have 78 rpm record of it (number N.88042).

These days there are many paid software available to clean up the audio. Softwares available from Sony are excellent in this regard.

The lyricist I believe is Kaif Irfani. The song on the flip side of Baharonse Kehdo 78RPM record was Tere Labon ke Muquabil Gulab kya hoga from Shivkumar Saroj.

Mirzaji,
Thank you for uploading this beauty for the music lovers. May I humbly suggest that the lyricist is Kaif Irfani and not Shivkumar Saroj.
SS penned the other two beautiful pieces, Baharonse Keh do & Tere labon ke muquabil

Yesss! This is a rare gem by Mukesh, written by Ex-announcer of R.Ceylon Shiv Kumar 'Saroj'... I had the opportunity to meet him in late 90s at AIR Bombay. He was my co-artist in a play where I was doing the lead role. I used to play this often as a casual announcer at AIR Allahabad in my University days in 70s. I also loved the ghazal by the same writer on the flip side of this 78rpm record sung by Mukesh ..."Baharon se keh do mere ghar na aayen..."
Can someone please upload that one too!
