I have to say, the BMW is an interesting looking car - however, I think it'll date badly compared to the Porsche. The Porsche has strong, classic lines that will always look good.
Compare a 97 z3 to a 97 boxster and you'll see what I mean, the boxster is still an attractive car. The z3 however... Ug-a-lee!

Haha, right. That's like saying, instead of getting a BMW one series you're going to get an M5, slightly differnet price point there. WHy not just go for the Carrera GT while you're at it!? ;-)

Agree with that, Boxster too neutrally balanced to do a lot of drifting in. And a serious lack of guts, 's' the only Boxster to go for.

The Boxster is mid engined, 50/50 weight distributed, totally sorted chassis, purpose built sports car. Its widely regarded as one of the best handling cars of its category and generally in sports cars. It just lacks power to really exploit the chassis, because Porker don't want to eat into 911 sales. Done the same with Cayman. Yet you think its 'just for people that can not afford the best porche cars'. You embarrass yourself with your ignorance.
