@CookieAddictHD I would agree that people who use drugs (which includes alcohol) because they think it's "cool" are stupid. There is no fundamental difference between painkillers and heroin, in fact many painkillers and heroin are metabolized into the same drug (morphine). We have 5 year olds being prescribed amphetamine salts which is nearly identical to meth.

Also, i'm not talking about painkillers or cafeine wich helps you, i'm talking about meth, ecstasy... wich are bad drugs and do not help you. 3 person in my family died in less than 2 months and that was not a reason for me to take drugs

@christo930 You also have to remember that these men and women experienced the worst possible outcome from a single mistake that they made. Most people don't even realize that if the worst possible outcome was experienced by everyone for every mistake they made in life, life would be terrible for everyone. Everyone has made bad decisions in their life that COULD have gone wrong and destroyed their lives.

@CookieAddictHD Most people who end up at a clinic have many years of drug abuse in their history, usually going back to their teen years. As I put in my comment, most of these people started with a prescription for pain killers from an accident, surgery or injury. Try to understand that I worked at a methadone clinic for more than 1/2 of your life and might know just a little bit more about drug abuse and how it starts than you do.

@CookieAddictHD Today, nearly all heroin users started off with a prescription painkiller prescribed for an injury, accident or surgery. I used to work in the IT dept of a methadone clinic and in the 8 years I worked there, the average age dropped from about 35 to 25. Many meth users started out with a prescription of amphetamine salts (adderal) while still in single digits(age)! We have 5 year olds taking amphetamines by their pediatrician and you want to blame them? Call them idiots?
