@hagiri01 i realize that this would be useless in a real fight, HOWEVER this is a competitions, he's SUPPOSED to show off this flashy crap, but it looks good right? so stop bitching about things like that because its getting you nowhere, and even if we dont know how he does outside of the tournament circuit, just because he does freestyle kata doesnt necessarily mean that he cant defend himself in a real life situation, im sure the school he goes to does more than that

if in battle...that katana swing is useless, only for confusing the opponent eye but he start slashing...its easy to block n counter....he would be dead....

lol at the people who do "sword" demo's using aluminum non sharpened swords and treat them like battons... its hilarious what happens when you bastardize a traditional style.
