Continuing the thumbnail process as a starting point to your designs. This technique is quite simple but the purpose is to help improve the proportions of your creatures anatomy. Here we'll be finalizing the sketch.

Apologies for sound quality, I'm trying to work that out.

  • So great monster. Damn it's beautiful. How long have you been an artist? In the other hand, how long have you been drawing?

  • @SunBreaker6 Professionally as a freelance concept artist/illustrator..since 2003, but I've been drawing all my life and never stopped.

  • Nice. I should draw more, what brush do u use?it looks good, and how do u make so many straight lines? whenever I try it they end up all looking different, the texture.

  • It's a cutom brush, but it's based off of one of the default chalk brushes. So I just took one of those, made it round but kept the edges a bit rough and it has a dual brush texture applied. So it's nice to sketch with, it's clean but still gritty enough to feel like you're sketching with pencil. Concerning the straight lines, I'm just quickly moving (only my wrist/fingers) back and forth so that's easy to make a line that's kind of straight when shading.
