I originally did not want to do this tune...too hard. However, my wife requested this tune a few times, and naturally (because I am a properly domesticated male), I obliged her.
This tune is insane...that is all I have to say. What I play is simply an approximation because there is an impossible array interesting stuff going on in the tune that I do not even want to touch.
The solo in the middle is improvised, obviously. I'm sure some REAL rock god will come along and play it how it is written, but for now, enjoy my suffering.
(yes, I know its slightly out of frame, but I didn't want to have to do this twice.)

What I really loved about your performance is that you made it your own. To me personally, that is more important than to play the song 100% accurate as it appears on the record. You added your own soul and flavor. Congratulations!

I gotta say, you did this two years ago, I bet you could do better now. I mean sure you flubbed up on this a little bit (still spectacular work) but I am counting on it. Try another Fishbone track. Like Ma and Pa or Sunless saturday, they both have outrageous bass I think.

I'm fairly certain I could do a better job, now (probably that is true for a lot of vids). Two years ago I was still trying to get my groove back (hadn't played much for years until I discovered youtube), and I certainly did not have a good slap bass like the Schecter.
Anyways, I will think about it for sure.

This is a good way of illustrating just how crazy this song is. Zodiakironfist, a skilled amateur who has nailed many a song in his vids, is clearly straining to keep up... then you click on a live Fishbone clip where they're playing it almost twice as fast as the album version, and Norwood's adding in all these little improvisational bits all over the place, and hardly looks like he's breaking a sweat.

Yes, I am clearly no Norwood. I would not have even done this tune if my wife didn't put me up to it. she's good at pushing me.
