Kids (MGMT Cover) - Using Reason, Ableton Live & Guitar Rig

Here's my second cover of MGMT. This time I just wanted to mess around with the Session view in Ableton Live. Every sound was made on my own with reason/ an electric guitar/ a drumkit except the kids laughing thing.

man, i was hoping you would have the crazy breakdown like in the oracular version, but it was still really good man. I also use reason and just recently got rid of ableton. Check out my page to listen to some of my reason songs!

@TheTaylorMan32 Hey thanks for the kind words. As i mentioned it this is a cover of the early version of kids which you can find on the 'climbing to new lows' LP. There are several differences but i strongly recommend that you check it out as well

Got it from the early version of Kids they released on their first EP called "climbing to new lows". They were still called The Management at that time. And btw, that's the version i covered here so you might want to take a look.

@TheTaylorMan32 I wasn't insulting reason, its a cool program. I am proficient with reason, fl studio, ableton, and protools. Somewhat familiar with cubase. I prefer ableton out of the bunch, I just meant that Ive known many many people to switch away from reason in the past 4 years or so and never really saw anyone switch too it. Man I remember reason was the first to get a decent vocoder a few years ago. That was the doodie!

@grenadezeroone I like Reason a lot more, not saying ableton is bad, its really cool and allows you to do a huge variety of things, but reason does as well, if not more options minus audio tracking, unless of course you have Record as well. I'm completely addicted and have made over 250+ original songs. Some of them are on my page, should check them out!
