lol, that's bullshit. you used the trial version,
I confess that trial version is no good, but I have full version System Mechanic Pro
I do not use antivirus, but decided to test Iolo System Shield
I have a folder with 16,000 Virus and it detected 15,800 Virus
And the latest version is lighter, Antivirus trial are all bullshit :)

IOLO System Mechanic 10.5 is CRAP. I had it on my computer until it quit working. Followed every lame email suggestion they gave, and it would never fully install again. It does work on my Win 7 laptop, but not on my XP desktop. Waste of money.

System Shield blows. I just recently removed 1100 + infections from a lady's computer I worked on who had system shield and system mechanic installed on her machine with up to date definitions and real time protection turned on. This video confirms what I already suspected that this software is horribly ineffective. Do not buy it. she got hers at Walmart. I am going to see if I cannot get her to return it to the store where she purchased it and get her money back. I recommend Comodo and MSSE.

@sepertude It's used Authentium Engine. But Authentium used F-Prot engine.

Did realtime is "REALLY" on ??

strange lolo is not antivirus it made of nowhere
-
@languy99 can you do a re-test of system shield?
-
you could have easily used eicar test file to check what would happen on an infection
-
Comodo and Kaspersky got an advance task manager which detects processes hidden from task manager
-
Those files are probably not danger, why dont you run them again without antivirus so we can see what happen othervise maybe we are dealing with new rootkit that hides stuff :)
btw what engie does Iolo uses? Its probably F-Prot... ?
so languy99 what do you think? I have no idea what happened, maybe it really worked.

@XPdude22 I doubt it worked becasue the stuff I tested is really new and if you see in the video even norton did not have any signatures it relied only on SONAR to catch them. So without that BB even norton would have failed.

LOL idk what happend but you prob know this but dont look into task manger to check if its running in memory it can always hide from task manger easily.
commando189 1 year ago
@commando189 I know they can hide but usually I can find one or two running there.
