i like the way they show virtually the whole show in the promo.

That Tintette ad looks more like something from 1960 rather than 1970.

fantastic stuff.
There's more than a smidgen of David McGhan in The Long Arm.

I agree about the presentation. It was very rough in those days. We've certainly come a long way and now have highly polished broadcasting. Well, some of the shows are crap but you get my meaning.

TONY WARD - now he was a Oz TV stallwart over the years - he never changed! Hmm, how presentation has changed since then - splices galore, cuts only, rough rough rough! BUT I LOVE IT! More please FD... (Also loved the use of the 'Airport Love Theme' over the slides at the tail...
Trivia: the baby girl in the electric hot water ad isn't real - it's just a doll.

that's quite a roll call in the guest list on The Long Arm: Ruth Cracknell, Bill Hunter, Noelene Brown, Ron Shand, Gary Day...

Is this all we have of "The Long Arm"? Are there any surviving episodes intact after all these years?

looks like the "Five Fingers/Gunsmoke" promo aired Monday 22 June, also as "The Kentuckian" was scheduled for Friday 26 June :-)

Thanks for digging out this info - it helps when you have old TV guides to use as a reference :-)
Crawford recorded "The Lion Was First To Know" premier episode off ATV0 on 13th April 1970. However, the ATV0 promos after "Showcase 70" were subsequently recorded on Monday 22nd June 1970.
