  • Beautiful singing, at any age. I heard her in San Franciso in 1981, and it is a memory I will always treasure.

  • Yes, hard to believe she's 65 at the time of this performance. I started following her singing in the 1960's, and have been a fan ever since. How could you not?

  • Sad.

  • Grazie Signora!

  • I saw this lovely lady in a fun park in Torremolinos in the early 1980's, yes a funpark, "Tivoliworld". I love her. She takes liberties and she knows it. See how she looks at the conductor at the end of this beautiful aria. She seems to forget words sometimes or miss them out but she manages by singing on a vowel, or something! She's one of thebest.

  • I also remember her singing this very aria when she sang it in the GG Park that year - her technique was uninque in that the last long note started with pianissimo and half way through she did a long creschendo - amazing/incredible. I knew then that I loved her and opera. Wished I could hear that again.

Immortal.
