You can't say an artist is like someone else...but if i had...i would say Sonic Youth are the new Velvet Underground and Beck's the cross between David Bowie and Bob Dylan....FUCKIN' AMAZING!!!

@bassik123 They have been described as experimental and no wave.Even though they still can be classified as no wave, because they were part of that whole movement in NY. But when I first heard them, I thought post-grunge punk instantly. Don't know why. They remind me of UFOS.

because every album i own has a unique sound
many of their songs aren't even noise rock anymore
you can dislike their music but don't say their albums sound all the same because that's just not true
