This is just as false as those sudden claims that showed up during the "unintended acceleration" period. People are whores and will do anything for attention or money. Sludge will only occur with negligence, and it is actually VERY difficult for sludge to accumulate, we're talking thousands of miles beyond the recommended interval.

7,500 or 5,000 miles? no no no. every 3,000.

Mmm... I have an 2001 Aussie Avalon with 249,999Klms on the clock with it's original engine and it does not burn oil or blow smoke. I do a oil flush and change every 5,000klms; and see that my engine has a long time to go before it packs it in. My Avalon goes off road allot and even cross's small creeks. I've pushed it pretty hard and it's still going. Yeah sure Toyota have had some bumps but I'm the lucky one has mine works like clockwork!

Toyota's are easier to maintain than ford or Jeep but, not the easiest to fix

guys face it man... american cars are pieces of crap ... the only people who dont know this are stupid rednecks who are loyal to brands that dont deserve it ... shut the fuk up and by japanese like everyone else and be happy and trouble free for life ! ! ! ! ! i hope ford and gm burn in hell ..i have had a ford two gm's and a chrysler and they all suck ass

@GuitarGuy2010 i agree dude propper regular maintenance and toyotas are rock solid and i dont know if they deserve to crash but yer definately and idiot if u cant just cut the engine
-
First, All cars will have sludge in the engines if not maintained properly.
That includes scheduled oil changes, involving manufacturer specified oil.
As for the recalls, the reason it is so widely known is GM and Ford.
They are bankrupt, and instead of trying better, they blame their better rival.
And for all you patriotic assholes, how does it feel to drive a car made from bailout money, you, and millions of others had to pay?

I whole heartedly disagree with you "bletubezzz" and all of you out there who are insinuating this is a customer neglect problem. I have seen it happen to three close friend/associates vehicles in which I know how well they maintained their vehicles and engines. And now, I've had the same thing happen to my 98 Avalon with the 1MZ series V6 engine. And the reason I am dispelling your analogy is because I personally and religiously change my oil myself!!
Using one of the best oils brands and for

@autoresearcher this is funny trying to bash toyota, they are THE MOST RELIABLE cars on the road, no argument. i am mechanic by trade and a voice of experience, i can say now that this is 100% the owners fault, cars need to be serviced regularly. PVC system is not for cleaning or keeping engine oil clean those reporters are lying or don't have their facts straight..... i can not exaggerate how anal Toyota is about reliability

about to do an oil change on my 99 solara sle v-6 223,765 miles strong.brought it brand new know major problems just the basics.
Want to find the truth? Go to uc2.blogspot.com to find it. Deceit, defamation, and cover up are synonymous with Toyota...it just took the public awhile to find out. Surely there is more to come. Stay-tuned! Apparently, Toyota has allies in its effort to perpetuate the myth of quality and CENSOR anyone who is brave enough to actually cite the real world facts about defective Toyota vehicles. Isn't it time that Toyota own up to the inherent issues in its vehicles and stop the LYING?

@GuitarGuy2010 "stupid?" "deserve to crash?" Wow! Sounds like a "Toyota Protector" is among us! Toyota is also good at laying the blame at the loyal Toyota owners' feet! Toyota isn't going to admit to anything and this is just why shoppers are looking the other way...
