The video clips are from the end of the documentary "Voyage to the Edge of the Universe" (History Channel) and are supposed to represent the end of the universe and a new beginning. The theory being that if you can look far enough into the distance, you will eventually be able to see the beginning of everything because of the amount of time it would take the light to travel to you
