A very well-edited video that captures the essence of the event. Ed Ames has a phenomenal voice. As Sal Richards so eloquently said after Old Man River ... "My goodness!!!" ... that says it all. My goodness, what a wonderful voice. My goodness, what beautiful arrangements to demand the most of that voice. The evening and performance was magical. I know because I was lucky enough to be in the audience. Mr. Ed Ames is gentleman, class and talent wrapped up in a six foot four inch frame. So many great singers lose timing or pitch or sound with age, but not this man. He looks and sounds as good as he ever did, if not better.
