Wonderful track, and no wonder the LP is "consistently fetching ridicuolus prices at a well-known auction site" as a reviewer at Amazon put it (the cd reissue from a few years back is a high-price item too). Her voice and sense of swing are captivating, and the rhythm section is amazing (Red Mitchell on bass, soooo fluid and funky).
Anyone who enjoyed it should check out Rigmor Gustafsson and Brazilian singer Flora Purim too; their voices and approach to singing are kinda similar to Alice's.

Finnaly found this tune after 10 years listening to a mixed tape that a dj in Toronto made. Thank you!

I love this song so much, and to hear this in such an even more beautiful version than the original amazes me! Thank you for this beautiful experience!

Great song. Apparently ABBA was involved in this jazz movement in Sweden, but made no money so decided to assault us with utter shit.

Once again, YOUTUBE makes it possible for us to discover artists that we otherwise would never find out. I searched for Carole King's Been to Canaan and found this gem. Alice was born in 1924 and 85 years later a whole new generation is being exposed to her. Thank you Youtube!
