@imperfectionkillz .. No. That reference was to "bhramacharya" ... in sanskrit "bhrama" means "God", and "acharya" means one who contemplates and lives only for God. In practice "bhramacharya" is celibacy which is one of the eight limbs of yoga. This is well known in Iyengar Yoga. With a pure heart and mind a true celibate is able to retain semen in the body, which in turn increases prana (life force), and over time provides enormous strength and support for spiritual evolution.

@write2robinram Nevermind that question. I found material explaining the 'eight limbs of yoga'. Thanks! :)

in themselves his hatha yoga asanas don't make him holy .. but bhramacharya (celibacy) which is one of eight limbs of yoga, where semen is preserved in the body hence enhancing prana-shakti and making the nervous system stronger, is essential to performing some of those strenuous yoga asanas/moves and more especially holding those asanas for the specified times. Even sitting steadily for 20-minutes with an upright spine in meditation or doing pranayama requires strength and prana-shakti..
