  • @dj4monie: BMW M-1

  • @dj4monie As I recall, Roush and Protofab were partners. Protofab went to Chevrolet, didn't it? It wasn't until Toyota and its GTO Celicas with Chris Cord, Dennis Aase, etc. that Roush had any competition. He killed them with Mustangs, T-Birds, Cougars, Merkurs..

  • @g00sampson maybe a BMW M1

  • @dj4monie : Wow, I didn't know ProtoFab became Pratt & Miller. Unrelated... at 2:04 is that a DeTomaso Pantera passing as Riggins slows to a crawl?

  • @rotarycorvette1 Dominated when? They dominated when American Factories were just getting to make their assault on IMSA, which they started to do in 1982 and Mazda like Porsche before remained in the lower classes until a bit later. But between '84-'92 nobody dominated IMSA more than Jack "In Hat" Roush. To be fair when Mazda stepped up to GTO they ran well and won. So did a company called Protofab which became Pratt & Miller...

  • rx7s dominated

  • That track was fast and wide. It had two very long straights.

  • Do you have anymore footage of this race? I have a monza that was entered in the race by a John Gray. I would love to find footage of the car.

    Thanks,

    Mark Walriven
