@mad71896 I don't think Buddy would be disappointed at all! It has been 53 years since he left us, and his music is still as good, and fresh as it ever was. There are not too many people you can say that about, 50+ years after they died. I think he would be proud and amazed, but not disappointed.

@gusmacgregormusic Sir; I worked with a lady that caught Buddy in Fort Dodge, Iowa on January 30, 1959. When I showed her the clips posted here, she told me that it was like watching the real Buddy again. Yes, there was only one Buddy, but the joy you have given folks can not be measured; from those who saw him or those who you have blessed by introducing Buddy's music to them.

@gusmacgregormusic you are the best Buddy Holly I've ever seen, period. Don't sell yourself short. I can't get enough of watching your performances on here.

After several years of playing Buddy Holly, 5 years ago I finally made the break into recording my own music. I never felt that I could completely do justice to Buddy. Yet it's funny that there is a sense from some of the comments on here that I somehow expected people to think I was as good as him. I knew I never was. But I did what I could to keep his legend alive. If you loved Buddy, go buy one of his albums. Preferably on vinyl; they still sound amazing! Gus MacGregor :-)
