this is gatka pentra .. not puratan akaali shashter vidya maryada. pentra should be done while doing jaap sahib and proper shaster namaskar is done while doing saster naam maala or chandi di vaar orother bir raasi baani

@5oldier5ingh british have ruined everything. the true sikhs are the nihang sikhs, they are slandered so much but they carry on with the maryada. some people are scared of them but they are more gentle than these bhape. i heard gathka is based on bhangra moves even i find that when im doing bhangra. have you seen uptej singhs circus act? he is blind folded and chops through a water melon lol. so have you been to shastar vidiya akhara?

nah, its combined class now, it's a longer class, cranford class is closed, doesnt happen nemore, slough is the only 1, unless you wannna go bham or wolves, there's always gonna be people anti nething good. The fact is shastar vidya is the way to go, if u want to learn and become a warrior of Akali Guru Gobind Singh Ji Maharaj, you have to do shastar vidya, if u wanna learn to dance then by all means learn and gatka is the way for you, lol.

yeah same, i went cranford a few times but when it closed, i stopped, im gonna go slough, hopefully start in a few weeks, take it seriously, go regularly and learn the most out of the time i have.

@5oldier5ingh i have like once, there closest akhara to me was cranford. its completely different to anything i have seen, no wonder why the british banned it its such a bloody martial art, you know everysingle kill point. this summer im going to get proper into it as i will be free. how bt u?

@GabhrooShakeen09 i agree that gatka isnt the sikh martial art but shastar vidya is, however it shuold be told that when doing parkarma you should go from the right. i dont even do gatka, however if you want to do shastar namaskar you should, although the video is a fancy dance type of thing. its a mixture of british influence, laziness and the fact that people dont know even nething about sikhi.

@5oldier5ingh their maryada* and nihangs dont even do gathka its shastar vidiya. thats wat late baba santa singh ji did. the sgpc, are corrupt they try forcing balbir singh as the jathedar. i find it weird that baba santa singh ji died on the same day he was made jathedari and at the age of 90. even a storm came after he passed away
