"Su rfin' Bird" is a song performed by American surf rock band The Tra shme n. It is a combination of two R&B hits by The Rivingto ns, "Papa-Oom-Mow-Mow" and "The B ird's th e Word" and was released in 1963, along with an album of the same name, becoming popular in the Vietnam war era.

This song was in a Grade Z vampire flick I saw with my mom, aunt, and little cousins at some grindhouse in Flint,MI. I remember dancing and my mom was too afraid to tell us to stop because we were pretty young for such a gory flick, she didn't want to get in trouble!!
