7 year old boy stole car to avoid church

A Seven-year-old boy was reportedly so desperate to avoid going to church that he stole a car and took police on a car chase.

ABC online in New York reports police in Utah were alerted to a child driving recklessly on the morning of Sunday July 26.

Weber County Sheriffs Captain Klint Anderson says two officers caught up with the boy about 72km north of Salt Lake City.

A camera in the police car caught the low-speed car chase:

Mahalo reports at one point the boy drove around the parking lot of a high school before taking off again.

He didnt stop until he pulled into his driveway and ran inside the garage to hide.

No charges can be laid because of the childs age, although police did ask his father to take better care of his car keys.
