i was wondering wehter or not this camera is compatible with tripods as it is not specified by the manufacturers, does it have screw prt on the bottom for tripods because i want to use the gorilla pod with this camera

No optical zoom but a 4x digital zoom. Overall though it isn't bad for the price. I was able to get some incredible pictures at the Pens game last week but also the lighting there hit or miss. I'm still trying to get a formal review typed. The navigation pad is a pain in the butt.

I recorded more video at the Pens/Rangers game last night and during the Stanley Cup ceremony which I'll review later today.

Does it have a tripod mount at the bottom of the unit?

There is an attachable piece for a tripod but this was one of those moments I didnt have time to go look for my tripod. I plan on testing that this weekend.
