Gradius III SNES *THE MADNESS*

Tricks and quick-kill insanity for Gradus III SNES.

The first clips shows how to use Reduce to get inside Goliath's mouth for a quick kill. Notice how Item Crash damages all enemies, even bosses.

The second is a simple shield kill on Goliath.

The third Goliath clip has me attacking from behind. You are still vulnerable to his projectiles, so be careful.

Next is another reason to use Formation options...an easy way to evade the option eater.

Next up is a safe spot for the 3rd level sub boss. Even easier when you destroy the hatcher at the bottom.

Next is another, harder safe spot for the sub boss.

Next clip is just some domination of Big Core Mk.III.

Then we have three Moai boss clips.

In the first, I use max speed ups to position my options in optimal positions. I finish him off quickly with an Item crash.

Next, is more of the same with Formation options. This one is pretty tough to pull off.

Next, I show off some mad skills by beating the Moai boss on arcade difficulty, 5th loop, while NAKED. Yeah.

Crystal Core kill. This one took me 30+ tries to nail. Very tough, unlike the Gradius II version where he sits still.

Next up, I show how much of a pushover Big Core Mk. II is. Safe spots galore.

The next is one of my favorites, showing a shield kill. Very tough.

Gunwall kills.

In the first one, I again use max speed for option placement.

Then I safely crush this sucker with Formation.

I have to note, the song *The Only End I'll Ever Get*, is the best version of *Crystal Forever* I've ever heard. The mood of the song might not fit the spirit of the MADNESS series, but I don't care. It's just so great I had to put it in.

There is probably enough material to compile a second video somewhere down the line. I already have some ideas, like more shield kills, and Choking Weed and Beacon kills. Gradius III SNES THE MADNESS Mk.II coming soon!

How do you make those options spread out anyway?

FIrst, get all four options. Then get enough power-ups so that the option spot is highlighted in your power bar. Then simply press the power-up button.

This can be done with both Rotating and Formation options.

how did you get through bigcore mk-iii in part 2:21 ?

I'm confused because it looks like cheating for everyone as i think but for me this is not cheating .

After you destroy the small protective blocks guarding the last core, you can enter that area and be safe.

Many times you can fly into places that look impossible. This is because the graphics don't always match the hitboxes.

Hes using the REDUCE power up which appears in the shield

category. it simply shrinks the ship making the vic viper a harder target, however every successful hit will increase the ships' size

Against Big Core Mk. II in the boss rush, there is also a second safe spot. When it comes in from the right of the screen, line up with the top red band on the front of the ship and sit still. The lasers should go right by you. :)
