How to sell your ideas and inventions for cash - Part 4 of 7
The invention marketing companies

Hi. This is Mike Rounds and welcome to part four of how to sell your ideas and inventions for cash called the invention marketing companies.

For the past 30 years, investors have been getting ripped off by organizations known as called the invention marketing companies.
They continue to flourish because most creative people who can probably find an answer to just about any technical problem they encounter, don't have the knowledge or interest to profitably market their creativity.
Their approach is offer a quick and dirty process to get your idea marketed and then proceed to charge those inventors who sign up with them thousands of dollars to produce generic reports, based on broad-based statistics, which have absolutely no relevance to the marketability of the invention.
In addition to this, they charge inventors inflated prices for non-needed work, patents that would never protect anything, and production drawings that will never see an assembly line.
They also promise advertising and marketing exposure that when examined conscientiously is completely worthless and does nothing more than create an atmosphere of expectation and then one of total disappointment.
These may sound harsh but according to the Federal Trade Commission, whose Operation Mousetrap tracks and prosecutes these organizations, none of them have ever been responsible for any inventor ever getting their invention to the marketplace in a profitable manner.
In one of the published reports (and some other research as well), it was found that these organizations NEVER told anyone that they;
• Didn't have a marketable product
• That they couldn't get a patent
• That there wasn't a market for their inventions

If you've ever worked for an organization that creates new products and innovations you know that those statements are impossible to achive.
During the 1980s, I became a crusader against these organizations and appeared on over 250 talk radio shows and never received any kind of threats, summons, or statements to the effect that I was being slanderous or that I was wrong about who they are and what they have done to inventors.
On the other hand, the program that we've been offering since 1986, has been reviewed and presented by such organizations as the Small Business Administration as being a totally practical, legitimate and low-cost way to determine if your inventions have a potential for profitable marketing.
It also provides inventors with a complete series of low cost, no-cost ways to register the rights to your invention before you offered to potential buyers
If you're seriously interested in making money with your creative ideas and don't want to spend a lot of time, money or get ripped off in the process, we've got the answer for you.
We've been delivering this copyrighted program, for the past 25 years, to live audiences at over 500 locations throughout the United States including the Harvard School of Business, the University of California, The World famous Invention Convention, Rochester University, and the Los Angeles Public Library.
Now, this same program is available as a complete package including all of the workbooks, audio lectures, videos seminars, and legal support forms for less than $100.
This is a complete, comprehensive program, delivered in everyday language so that you'll be able to understand and apply the process.
We'll show you everything you need to know to protect, package, prototype, and offer your inventions for sale without spending a lot of money for things you don't need, can't use, and that won't make you a profit.
Plus, we'll show you:
• a variety of low cost, no-cost ways to establish the ownership rights to your inventions
• how to make sure that your invention is 'ready to take to the street'
• how to locate potential buyers
• how to solicit their participation, and
• What you can expect in terms of royalties and contractual conditions.
Forget about thousands of dollars -- we'll show you how to do the work yourself and find out if you've got the next great product for a few hundred dollars.
