  • Solid NFL quarterback.

  • Saw the 1963 championship game from the stands. I think Wade scored twice on sneaks. I thought I'd have to have my toes amputated. But I didn't even have frostbite.

  • Ah, the good old days. :) Bill lived in a middle class neighborhood in Chicago about 1 block from my grade school, Swift, where his son went. Back in those days, players would typically have to work jobs in the off-season ... my dad and I had season tickets through the Sayers and Butkus era. I know I am somewhere in that end zone crowd shot, as an 11 year old, in the scene with the final intercept in the Championship game.

  • Good stuff...he was great at the quarterback sneak. And a better passer than usually given credit for. Nice footage of title game, including interception by Richie Pettibone that ended it.
