Hen Wlad Fy Nhadau, played on the bagpipes outside Llanfair ym Muallt/Builth Wells golf club, where, under the 17th hole, 7 000 men from Llewelyn's army are purportedly buried. Following the cutting off of Llewelyn's head, it was shown to his army, who were told to put down their arms and go home. However, following their disarmament the Welsh army was slain by the English soldiers.
The Welsh soldiers are remembered.

  • One question....and might i add first I am Welsh, and massively patriotic, so I don't mean this in a negative way at all, just an honest question. The flag on the left, was the flag of Cornwall. The why wasn't it the flag of St David?

  • Indeed, well may we say: "Ei gwrol ryfelwyr gwladgarwyr tra mad, dros ryddid collasant eu gwaed...Pleidiol wyf i'm glwad."
