Wait a minute. You spend a lot of time criticizing people for judging gays, and now you're judging someone for being a "Republican"?? Is that fair?? Now maybe you can see that ALL judgement of others is wrong, period. Besides, judgement is just us playing God; and an atheist playing God is a contradiction!

By the way, since you like your soils class, you might also take an Intro. to Geology class as part of your gen. ed. stuff. You might like that too. Take care.

I was judging no one, actually. I was stating that my views will conflict with that of my instructor's. I feel that everyone is entitled to their opinion, as long as it doesn't hurt others. A republican that has stated blatantly that I should have different or less rights that he is offensive and hurtful to me. Therefore, I can't respect his position. But he seems like a nice person, beyond that.

I think Soils is all I can handle for now! Maybe next semester...

Anyway, getting back to my main point, we all have to learn not to judge those who judge us. Otherwise, the world becomes one big judgement fest. Actually, that's exactly what it IS now. No wonder everything is so screwed up.

Well, your instructor really shouldn't be talking politics in a class that has nothing to do with politics! I once had a professor who spent the whole semester telling us his Democratic political views.

Anyway,I can't blame you for having negative associations with Republicans. A lot of them *are* gay-hating idiots who think that the gov't should be a church. On the other hand, many of them (like myself) are *fiscal* conservatives who would just like the gov't to use our money *wisely*...
